1) Growth – dependent upon the “Word of God” growing - Acts 2:41; 4:4; 5:14;

6) Organization and Benevolence Acts 16:1-6 (problem solvers)

7) “Full of (grace) faith & power” (Stephen) Acts 6:8 – 7:60; (Philip) 8:5-13 & 26-40

8) Taught & charged Christians to Repent and Pray about their sin Acts 8:20-23 and Christians wanted to be prayed for. (verse 24)

9) They “preached the Word of the Lord” and “preached the gospel”, which is the same thing. Acts 8:4,25,40---- “Preached Christ” (verse 5) and “the Lord Jesus”( 11:20); 13:5, 49; 28:30,31; 14:7

10) Brave in helping one another and in preaching the gospel. Acts 9:10-19 (22:10-16) ; 9:23-25, 29 (Boldly); 10:34

11) Accepted the worst of people once they were converted( even an enemy like Saul). Acts 9:26-28

12) When they were persecuted they grew, but also when they were not: “Were edified and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.” Acts 9:31

13) Individuals helped one another. Example: “ the coats and garments Dorcas had made” Acts 9:39 also 11:29,30

14) Willing to change their thinking when confronted with God’s will. Acts 11:1-18 “Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”

15) “And the hand of the Lord was with them…” Acts 11:21

16) Church was “exhorted” to “cleave to the Lord.” Acts 11:23

17) Willing to die & some did. Acts 12:1,2; (Revelation 2:10); those who didn’t kept on preaching – Acts 14:19-21

18) “Fasted & prayed” before sending out evangelist to preach & teach as the Holy Ghost instructed them. Acts 13:1-5

19) Rebuked those that would interfere with the conversion of others. Acts 13:6 -12

22) Assembled on the first day of the week: Acts 20:7; (1 Corinthians 16:1,2)

24) “Waxed (became) bold”: Acts 13:46; Acts 9:29; 4:29,31 (prayed for it); 14:3

25) Corrected those that were still baptizing under John Baptism: Acts 18:24 - 19:1-7. (one can speak boldly & be wrong in his teaching – 18:26)

26) They went to those who would listen: Acts 13:46, 51; 18:4-6

27) “Filled with joy” & “rejoicing”: Acts 5:41 & 13:52 (Note that both times were when they were persecuted & rejected and then they went out and taught more)

28) At Antioch (their starting point) they “gathered the church together” and “rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.” Acts 14:26,27

29) When they had a doctrinal problem they consulted with those who were inspired & settled the matter. Acts 15:1-32 (Now we consult the inspired Word written down for us --- 2 Timothy 3:16,17)

30) “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith…” Acts 14:22
”And when they had appointed for them elders in every church , and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.” Acts 14:23
